Do you think life would be better in America if we were still seperated by race? Dont you think we still do that. Most people dont want their children going to some ghetto school or live in a poor crime filled areas so we move away. Is'nt this a way of seperating ourselves? I will be moving again because of this. More people are starting to move in where I live who are loud and have children who run a muck and have no respect for anything.

I do not think life would be better if America was broken down by race. I think it would be the same or worse if it was divided by race. There would be feuds about what race is better than the other and there could be even more violence. I think the interaction among different races is good. It is sad that there is racism and apparently that will always be an issue but I don't believe separating the races would do any good.

Dont you think we still are seperating? Especially when high end neighborhoods develop with housing at half a million and higher. I still think it is seperating by race because the majority of high income people are white.

I don't know if we would be better off because we would be limiting who we could interact with as adults. Not everyone who grows up in a bad neighborhood stays there. Granted, I don't want my child going to a ghetto school because I know the education quality there is much lower, but I can control that by providing a better life for my child and at the same time teaching him to respect others.

yet we seperate from the poor because frankly being poor means living in an area that has tons of crime uneducated people and so on. Yet what one race is the poorest in America. Look at all the people who got left behind in hurricane katrina.

I appear caucasian & when I was looking to buy my house (BTW I'm from down south) my agent kept saying "this is a mixed neighborhood,etc... you get the picture anywhoo, I finally told her I wanted a safe neighborhood it didn't matter if it was mixed or not-that's the key I grew up in lower class area's of town & you got all races so I think it's more like you say get out of the ghetto but race really has nothing to do w/ it.

April, I don't think we should seperate America or any other country by race. Not wanting to live in a crime filled area is alot different than wanting to segrate. We must protect our precious children no matter what the cost. I think we should also teach them tolerance and love for one another.
