What is more important Education or work experience

What do you think employers are more concerned about the amount of education one has or the amount of work experience. I is hard to say because everyone is saying education is the key but are employers quick to hire someone fresh out of school even if they went to school for ten years.

I believe actual work experience is more valuable to an employer. However, the door is closed to you in many cases these days with a lack of education. The best situation is to have a balance of both. Try to work at least an entry level job in your field while aquiring your education.
