Here is another recipe I make for my family. It's quick and good. I got this recipe from a friend of mine. 1 lb. ground beef 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 bag of tater tots cheddar cheese Cook the tater tots first, then when they are just about done, cook the meat. Drain it, then mix the meat with the cream of mushroom soup...fill in the bottom and sides of a deep baking dish with the tater tots. Fill in the center with the meat mixture and then cover the top with tater tots. Put cheddar cheese on top of that and bake until the cheese is melted. In order to make sure it is hot throughout this needs to be put together at the same time the meat and mushroom soup has been mixed together and simmered for about 3 minutes...which gives you enough time to fill in the baking dish with the right out of the oven tater tots. I love new recipes so that's why I posting some of mine. In hopes that you will post some of yours.

It's no good I will have to ask .. what are 'tater tots' ?? I can't think I have ever seen anything with that name here in England .. then again it may just be that 'tater tots' is an American brand name for something I use everyday hahah!!

tator tots are like hashbrowns..just in smaller bites. I'm not sure if you have hashbrowns..but they're like fried potatos in a sense. I'm finding it hard to explain, lol.

here is a recipe for you hope you like it My mom had a way with taking inexpensive or left-over meat and cream soups and inventing wonderful casseroles. Here's one of my childhood favorites ½ hours 30 min prep Change to: servings US Metric 1 tablespoon butter or margarine 1 cup celery, diced 1 small onion, diced (optional) 1 lb ground beef 1 package frozen tater tots 1 can cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken) 3/4 cup milk salt & pepper Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In medium skillet over medium heat, sautee celery and onion in butter. Pour into large bowl and set aside. (Do not add to casserole dish yet.) In skillet, brown the beef. Add salt and pepper to taste. (I sometimes add a dash of garlic salt.) Combine meat with celery and onion mixture. Place 1 layer of Tater Tots in the bottom of a round casserole dish. Top with meat mixture. Add another layer of Tater Tots on top of the meat. In separate bowl, combine soup and milk. Pour soup mixture evenly over top of casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cover with foil if tater tots get too brown

That sounds really good. We love tater tots here so that would be a good idea of something different to do with them. It sounds pretty simple too. Thanks.

I have a variation of this recipe. I add usually peas and carrots. Tater Tot Casserole Ingredients 2 lbs. Ground beef 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 can cream of chicken soup 1 bag tater tots 1 bag shredded mozzarella cheese Directions Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Brown and season ground beef. In 9 x 13 casserole dish, layer tater tots, then ground beef, and spread the soups over ground beef. Top with mozzarella cheese. Bake at 425 for at least one half hour or until hot all the way through. Let sit 5 minutes before serving Variations: Use ground turkey instead of ground beef and you can use different cream soups or cheddar cheese soup. Adding veggies makes it a complete meal.

Thanks for sharing. I like ground turkey but I made it with something one time and my hubby said he never wanted to eat that again cause he didn't like it. LOL

That sounds really good and very easy. Thank you for sharing it with us. I have no favorites except a shrimp dish. I take raw shrimps and put them in the cassorole. Then I melt butter, and put in bread herb stuffing and parmasian cheese. Pour it over the top and bake for 10 minutes. It's very good.
