Buying a used car help

hey everybody, im going to be buying a used car in a few months and its the first car i will be buying and i was wondering if any of u guys out there had any advice for me on what i should do on buying or checking them out, thanks!!

I highly recommend taking someone with you who is knowledgable about cars. A friend who is an automechanic, or works in a body repair shop, etc. Consult your Kelly blue book to make sure you aren't getting overcharged also. :-)
The best value in terms of price per life left in the car is a 2 year old car with under 40,000 miles. It will have taken the largest hit in depreciation, but will still have the most time left in it.
