Do you let people mentally or emotionally abuse you?

Are you so afraid of hurting someones feelings that you let them hurt yours over and over again because confrontation is not one of yur strong suits. Or because you feel that standing up for yourself is just not worth the effort or the emotional upheaval?

Well I try to follow the basic principal of standing up not only for my slef but also for others. I am a Muslim and my religion teaches me that I should not only be myself taken for a ride but should also fight for others rights if I think that some one is taking undue advantage of them

I'm not afraid of hurting someones feeling if they repeatedly hurting me. By confront them, this will give a signal you don't like their manner and the way they treat you. Why taking care of other people feeling by hurting your own feeling? There more lot of people that can treat you better.

I used to when I was younger, but as I have grown up I have learned to say NO. If someone repeatedly causes you emotional strife, I feel that the best thing you can do is to keep them at arm's length. I have a particular family member that has done this to me, and I am just not available for them like I once was. It is better for my health.
