I think today i prefer disposable diapers but we all know they can be quite expensive so the thought of me using cloth diapers came to mind. Do you really save money using cloth diapers and are they worth it?

Yes, you'll save money with cloth diapers, but definately not time. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. Disposable ----------- - easy access, little mess - throw out when done - absorbs moisture better - no smell to deal with, since you just throw them out. - many different styles and types to suit each baby Cloth ----------- - more cost effective - more time consuming (washing, preparing) - pins, risk of injury to a squirming baby - some babies get serious diaper rashes from the increased moisture on the skin. - much bigger mess to contend with I used cloth with my first, until he developed severe diaper rashes when using cloth. His skin was too sensitive and he had to use disposable, simple to draw moisture away from the skin. I tried again with my second, and finally decided the little bit of extra money was worth it for the time invested with cloth. With my last 3, I didn't even consider cloth and went straight for disposables.
