Drinking tea has benefits for reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke, but these benefits are eliminated if milk is added to the tea, German scientists said on Tuesday. Research has shown that tea improves blood flow and the ability of the arteries to relax.
The researchers found that proteins in milk decrease the amount of compounds in tea called catechins that increase its protection against heart disease. They think that these findings could explain why countries like Britain, where tea is often consumed with milk, haven't seen a lowered risk of heart disease and stroke from drinking tea.

Well I guess I'm glad I just add sweetener! Interesting though!

That doesn't surprise me. Milk has its own health drawbacks, and since downing my consumption of milk from almost a gallon a day to a little bit of milk a day (or no milk at all), I feel much better, I've got less of a gut and just my health overall in general has approved. I like it.
