Would you rather .... (a curiousity question)?

A discussion was brought up on another, and with some of the answers, it sparked an interesting outlook. How many would rather see an act of violence than an act of love, simple because of the genders involved? So, the question is, assuming you had to choose one or the other, would you rather watch 2 men kissing, or 2 men killing each other?

For me first Love and then violence. I would rather watch two men kissing, like a father kiss his son. love is beautiful in anyway, in any gender. Good discussion Ciniful.

Love, then violence. I really don't care if two people of the same gender kiss. Good question though, it's interesting to see some of the answers.

What an interesting way to ask a question! I am sure that most guys are cringing at the moment as no matter which answer we give it can be misconstrued as something or another! If it was a movie and I knew that it was not reality I would prefer to see two men kill each other. But I sure wouldn't want to see that in real life. So I guess I would have to say that if I were witnessing a real life situation, then two men kissing.....

Men kissing of course; I don't believe anyone would choose the second option. How homophobic are people??

This question was asked on a few sites, and in every forum, there was one or two people who opted to see 2 men killing each other instead. Sad, but true.

Neither. It grosses me out to see two men kiss, but seeing someone die grosses me out as well. If you are talking about acted on television, then I'd rather see them kill each other, because I know that's not real, but the kiss is real either way. And if you think it's odd or closedminded that I feel this way about two men kissing, you need to do more research to how the male mind works. Women aren't as uncomfortable with watching two women kiss as men are with watching two men kiss, and it's because men are more visual than women in general, not because men are "insecure about their sexuality" or something like that, and I just know this is where this topic was going to go, so I'm putting a stop to it right now.

You're jumping to a lot of conclusions. I stated right in the title this was a curiousity question only. I have no intention of judging anyone based on their answers. You're entitled to feel however you like about the issue, it's not up to me to judge you or your answers, regardless of what they are. I was going to thank you for your response, but then .. you didn't respond, did you? Given a construct, you avoided it altogether. So .. thank you for your off topic post, rant included, and the assumptions you made with no basis. :) Enjoy your night.

I think this is a barbed question, in that its answer varies on the situation in which the question is presented. In real life, I would rather see an act of love than an act of violence, without a doubt. Two men kissing doesn't bother me at all, but two men killing each other makes me feel the need to intervene and stop the violence. When I am watching a movie, however, if two men kiss, it isn't an act of love - it is two actors, very unlikely to be in love with each other, portraying an emotion. Similarly, two actors in a movie don't really hate or want to kill each other; it is a portrayal, and nothing more. Neither of these portrayals would inspire me to want to see a movie - but a well written story, in which either situation is an important part of said story, will draw me every time, regardless of whether they are kissing or killing each other.

Just taking the question at face value, and not trying to "read stuff into it," I'd rather see two men kissing. Love is beautiful, in whatever shape it takes. Violence is almost always ugly and meaningless.

Can I just turn my head and go ick? LOL Both don't please me but obviously I'd never want to see anyone killed, no matter what. So I'd have to choose the 2 men kissing. Although I will admit it would make me a bit disgusted to have to be a part of. I don't care if they want to be in love... just don't involve me with it ok? LOL But there are worse things in life indeed.

I would rather watch 2 men kissing. Violence is not for me. It doesnt bother me for men kissing men as long as I don't have to be a part of it.

I would like seeing none. Two men kissing each other seems very akward for me natural love is the option for love makers(no gays plz). So if the kiss is an exortic type it won't do. Seeing one man killing other makes me panic n increases mental tension for me n i don't like to be in tense mood anyway.

wow! that's a very funny but so much interesting question! For me, I would rather choose the two-men kissing each other than those killing each other. When you kiss each other you may say that it is done voluntarily by two parties. However, of course, when a suspect kills the victim, the victim obviously doesn't want to be killed. There is a life damage.
