A woman has delivered sextuplets at a Vancouver hospital this weekend, a rare event believed to be a Canadian first, doctors have confirmed.
The four boys and two girls were delivered after just 25 weeks by C-section. Each weighs about 1.8 pounds, but a spokesperson at B.C. Women's Hospital said they are "in fair condition."
How could one handle so many infants at one time? Could you handle it? What is your opinion???

i cannot imagine how the parents must feel they must be overjoyed at the babies safe arrival but terrified at the thought of the next few months with the babies i dont know if i could handle it really but then i suppose if they were mine i would just do it as everyone always does the arrival of one is hard enough let alone six of them i am sure they will get all the support they need from their local community after all they will be like celebrities for a while now if they are the first in the area good luck to them and i hope they all make it home safely together bless them

i think the main question on their minds is what size of vehicle, how to schedule feeding and sleeping and most of all when will they been healthy enough to go home.

How about 2 sets of twins then sextuplets. There are quit a number of sextuplets around the world. With 11 sets in the USA There was a program on tv some time ago about a family that had a set. There is a set in Liverpool, England that is turning 18
Their church and neighbors came in and helped them even for the night feedings. They had diapers and many other things donated.

In Canada it is rare to have ....more than 4,000 sets of twins are born in Canada each year more than 75 sets of triplets, quadruplets and quintuplets (combined) are born in Canada.

I would not be able to handle it. I wish the family luck. I am from a family of 2 sets of twins and that was brutal.

Do you have pictures? I'm curious about the babies, are they small? Oh anyways, I wish the family all the best in the world. I found it hard to take care of 1 baby, what more if I have 6, I'd probably go crazy then.

I remember in Australia there was this record breaking person having 6 or 12 or something. It was on the news and once I looked at it, well if I get 6 at one go I'll just have to face it and keep on praying I can afford it or take good care of them, if not my oh my no way I would like to get 6 all at one go.... Oh my heart. LOLZ... I guess Government will definitely help support and if I were to be in Japan having 6 babies or so, I think the government will be so happy they might even give things like a car or so to promote people to have babies. Cheers.~!

i guess it depends on where you are in the world and how much people can support you during that time.
