Swimming is pretty good excercise. If you are actually swimming and trying to get exercise and all that swimming is good for you. It gets your heart rate up and that is good exercise. Also, swimming is really good because there is no impact on joints or anything like that. Swimmers are rarely injured because there is almost no way to get injured. You have a slight chance at shoulder injuries but that is unlikely especially if you aren't a competetive swimmer.
