Route 66 is a road over 2000 miles long which starts in Chicago, Illinois and ends in California. This was the major road for travelers before the interstates came along. Here in Albuquerque it runs smack through the middle of town and there are several diners, small shops and small businesses. Have you ever traveled on Route 66? Any special memories related to such a historic road?

brings back memories remember when it was a show on tv called route 66 about two guys moving along the route and getting into or staying out of trouble whichever the case may be can't remember who played the parts cause its so far back and i was such a little shaver. lol don't know if it was on the same show or not but remember something about kookie kookie lend me your comb showing some cute guy combing his hair. don't know if can't remember because it was so long ago or because i'm getting old and memories going, then again does it really matter... lol

Hey, thanks for sharing some memories with me. I just knew that someone in the MyLot community had some memories of this historic road. It is actually close to my home and still a tourist attraction.

Oh great, now that tune is running around in my head! I bought a cook book for a friend that had recipes from the restaurants that ran along Route 66. The recipes are great. Some made your nose crinkle.
