Why do you believe in your religion?

Religion is a strong and powerful force. Many don't understand why they believe, maybe because they were just taught to live a certain way and not question the beliefs. Do you have a clear understanding of your beliefs and what your religion stands for?

I am not religious, because IMO religion is merely about dogma's and so.. and since most wars have their starts because of religions we can make up that if we would follow religion we are not about getting more wizer or growing in our consciousness and especially into our christ consciousness, because that is what Jesus was telling about.. All the great avatars on earth where talking about this one great energy, our oneness, our free will and the fact that we all are children of god because we are no different, we only experience different! Our life is a divine chosen experience to learn the true meaning of life, which is that love connects, builds, grows, expands, is abundance, is strenght, is faith, guidance, is attracting, is energy and is everything.. we choose to be negative but we don't have too, it is time to wake up for all of us and grow beyond our illusion and our imagination, because we can create heaven on earth if we manage to believe and see, in stead of see and believe ;-)

Great comment! I am Christian, and yes many wars have been started in the name of my religion and others. I hate war, and don't believe any true Christian would start a war in the name of religion. Jesus told us to love our enemies, not hate them. Yes, He told us to spread the Word of God, but not in this way. Great response from a non-religious viewpoint!
