I've have used many types of anti-virus including Norton, PC-Cilin and others. But now I stick to Avast. Personally I like this anti-virus as it manage to track down and clean some undetectable virus in my PC. It also keep updating it's virus database frequently almost everyday.

AVG free has done wonders for me. It's realiable and very light on your system HAPPY NEW YEAR

Bitdefender is a very good anti-virus software available.It lets have total control on the applications trying to acess the internet and the data trying to come in.But its a bit complicated to use. Even McAfee is a good anti-virus software.It is very user friendly.

I see a number of people have responded with the product I have used for years. Grisoft AVG Anti-virus. Everyone needs to take notice. Grisoft says the product will no longer be available after Jan. 18, 2007. What they really mean is,it will not work after that date. I have done extensive testing in my work with computer systems, networks, etc. and I have not found any product by any company that worked better than the AVG Free product. I have even had systems that Norton said were clean, but the AVG found the virus. I hate to pay for a product, but I may well go with this new AVG version at 29.95 USD because of my experience with their other product.
