This is as old as history riddle. But as what history says is God first created Hen so it can lay eggs to multiply its kind. But to the philosopher this is a never ending senseless conversation.

This is a question that people don't seem to get right. I, myself believe that the hen came first... God created the the animals... then the hen had the egg.
