There is an asana in yoga which pactised for atleast half an hour daily can reduce your tummy and keeps your stomach fit, as it is said that all the illness starts from the stomach. This asana is known as kapalbhaati, in which you take a long breath inside and then leave it at shrt intervals by pusing your stomach inside. When you are releasing the breath out, dont take any breath inside. Continuously breathe out for around 20 mins. Initially you wont be able to do it for even 5 mins but slowly you will get into practise. Note: That this asana is practised only when your stomach is empty not hungry. Try to do this asana in the morning after brushing your teeth.

I love fire-brathing but you like you said start slowly with just a few minutes. personally I never eat before any yoga practice. The food would give me too much pressure in my stomach.

So thats what I have said, that you should not practise it with a full stomach, the stomach should be empty but it should not be the case that you are hungry

It shouldnt hurt you, you must be straining yourself when doing this asana. You must do it calmly and should not stress yourself.

Yes this asana is known (in English) as "abdominal lift," and as you say its good for the stomach. When you practise Yoga its best to cover a wide range of stretches, or asanas, because they all work together to strengthen and stretch out your muscles. Leg rises will also strengthen your stomach muscles, and help to reduce your stomach.
