Do you consider yourself to be a writer? If so why & if not, why not? Do you think there are some guildlines to consider or do you think anyone who writes is therefore a writer? Why?

Yes. I am an author of books. I am a translator of the Word of God from Greek to English and I have already published THE WILL New Testament (Greek to English), GENESIS & EXODUS (Greek to English), GREEK-ENGLISH (Grammar & Vocabulary), WORDS in THE WILL New Testament, and others. Literally, anyone who writes is a writer, but that's not what we usually mean to be a writer. A writer writes for publication, for public consumption, not just anybody who knows how to hold the pen and writes. Guidelines depends on the writer. If he has his own style, he should go on with it. Good writers do not copy styles.

I do not consider myself a writer. Yes, I post here and in other forums, but still for me, I am not a writer. I am not creative and sometimes I have a problem with my flow of thought. I have read many good books and articles, and I am sure I can never write anything like those.

Yes, I am a writer. I have published both print and online articles, as well as poetry. I am currently working on my 2nd and 3rd novel simaltaneously. I don't know if I could put guidelines on someone elses writing to say whether or not they are a writer. I do feel that even though you have not published or may not have the desire to publish, you are still a writer if you aspire to write. Writing can be just a passion and hobby as well as a living. Personally, I view writing and the process as a very individual thing.

I in no way consider myself a writer. I post and write letters but I leave the writing up to my talented husband. It takes talent and expressiveness to be a writer and you have both of those.
