Discount Grocery Stores

Just curious if anyone shops at any discount grocery stores. I was once told that they are discounted because the food is expired. I just can't see a store being able to sell expired food though. What has been your experience with these places?

I HAVE to shop at these places...lol My kids eat me out of house and home. I've never had a problem with any of the foods I've bought before. I've never noticed any of them being expired. I think that at places like ALDI's and Sav-a-lot they have quality products for a lot less money than at Kroger or any big supermarket chain. So, I definitely recommend that you try a couple out! It really does save you a bunch of money!

We do have an Aldi's near by so I think I will check it out. Anything cheaper is good. I'm glad to hear expired foods aren't a problem. That kind of freaks me out a little.

I have been a couple of times, I think there are certain things that doesn't really matter if they are just over expiry date and the ones I have been to I think it is a case of stuff that some companies had too much of.
