true to life or fiction?

what do you think about this movie? i admit that this is really a great movie and ive watched it over and over again, yet i always end up laughing out loud and rolling just the way i did the first time i watched it. the credits of this movie mentioned that this story is based forma blog of a certain person and his love life. do you believe that this story is real or just a make-believe? i dont put this movie down and i really can't. im just curious about your stand about it's truth-value.
