Sigh..I grew up in the south where sweet tea is sitting in every fridge 24 hours a day. There aren't many restaraunts that don't serve it down here. Now I live in New York and there is no sweet tea unless I make it at home. Has anyone seen any food joints up North that serve sweet tea? Not just regular tea...sweet tea.

Hello,
I am sure homemade sweet tea is just awesome . My parents in the summer would sometimes make fresh tea and leave it in the sun . So good and refreshing! Now I just buy Swiss Sweet tea that is diet and for me it works . I like to sometimes slice lemon in it and add so much ice. Each time I go out I always order tea and it is good .

I would die if I could not have my sweet tea, and I know what you mean it realy has to be made already in order for it to taste good. My hubby just told me recently that in VA they don't serve Sweet tea either and if you want a "refill" they add on another drink to your tab. I live down in TX, so I'm used to having sweet tea and "free refills" I wonder if that is true though; is it that way up there?

What exactly is sweet tea? I'm in the NYC area and I figure there's got to be a place where you can find what you're looking for. There are places where Brits serve English-style tea, and there are southerners with restaurants who serve southern food, there just have to be places that serve southern-style tea, I'd think.
