What does mylot reputation star mean?

I have just seen a new alert on mylot page. It tells me of a new algorithm of giving reputation star to users. I am totally confused . What is this reputation? Is it different from the mylot user ratings? I have a 9 star rating . Does that mean that I am a very responsible mylot user? Please clarify my doubts.

Yeah, I'm a little confused, too. It may have to do with all the posts that are rated + and -, and it would seem that it would have an effect on your earnings, but I don't know for sure. It's also pretty hard to find out because of all the responses to the alert, it would take an hour to find out everything.
