Mr. Sudhakar is a 37 year old man, married for the past 13 years. He has two children, aged 11 years and 8 year old son. He is suffering from brain tumor. He started drinking at the age of 12 just as a trial according to him. Though he does not drink regularly, he started drinking excessively when his 22 day old son got fits. Unable to bear his drinking, his family separated from him. He lost his job on the boat and his financial situation forced him to sell his house and move into a hut. His position was so bad that he attempted suicide thrice. The local people and corporator of his area were responsible in admitting him to our de-addiction camp. He received treatment for 10 days, after which he was a different person altogether. He has since been reunited with his family and is currently employed as a night watchman earning around Rs.2000/- P.M. which enables him to support his family. He has also received help from CCF Project of the organization for the construction of a new house. A year has since passed and is doing well.
