mylot Star Rating System.

I just came to know that mylot has added Star Rating system... But i really didn't understand it... Can some one explain it.
How Star Rating Works?
What is better, Higher Star or Lower Star. At the moment I have 9 Star Rating. how star rating decrease/increase.

You should read the new alerts. Then you will know what does it mean. By the way, 9 stars is very good reputation.

How does these Star system calculated?

well buddy as much u knw, i also knw same, bt in alerts there mylot community has mentiond-------In addition, you shouldn’t think of a particular myLot reputation level as necessarily being “good” or “bad”. It just means that a user with a reputation of 8 is generally more highly thought of by the myLot community than a user with a reputation of 5, and so on and so forth. It doesn’t mean that 8 stars means “good user” and 5 stars means “bad user”. Both are valuable members of the myLot community.

I'm aware that star-ratings will not have any effect in earning algorithm.

Simply stars with number shows your reputation and rank in MyLot...

its a rating system in which u get points on an average of your responses your discussions and their ratings..even in avrage your refarals will also be added..they are having different colours like flags of different nations..

this are i understood from mylot guidelines.
users with a user rating of less than 100 will not yet have myLot reputation
myLot reputation is determined by the myLot community,not user
It doesn’t mean that 8 stars means “good user” and 5 stars means “bad user” only indicate how active user are
increase your reputation is by contributing quality topics, responses and comments and avoid breaking mylot rules!
