These days a lot of firms have started using Psychometric Tests as one of the many factors in employing suitable people. It includes the measurement of knowledge (achievement), abilities, attitudes, and personality traits of a person. Some firms believe that it helps them to judge the whether the person would be "retain-able".Initially such tests where used as an aid in treating people with personality problems. These days it aids in getting to know the person better. With research in Psychology growing and developing , so are the tools . As an entrepreneur or a HR manger would you adopt Psychometric Testing to find that right person ?

I think that psychometric tests are next to useless, since they try to narrow down a human being into a couple of categories... They were designed for diagnosing extreme psychological malfunctions, but I think that they are useless for anything else. I think that they are a way for the HR department to feel that they can objectively evaluate a person.
