When adding friends...

..here in MyLot, how do you decide whom to invite, what's your rule of thumb, if any? Do you check that person's profile and see if you have similar interests? Or is it the discussions they've posted that makes you decide to add them as friends? Or is it because you happen to live in the same country? Or simply because they responded to one of your discussions?

i used to accept everyone's request...but after my recent filtering of my profile...i screened through each request first before i accept/deny...i will look at their responses in other people discussions...as well as how appropriate their response was to the discussions.

Pretty sensible. That's one of the methods that I do,too. But I haven't yet denied any requests since there really aren't that much requests in the first place.hehe.. But when your the one who's asking someone to be your friend, the one on the other end, how do you choose which of the thousands that come in by the hour would you want to join your already long list of friends?^^
