TCP/IP-Transmssion Control Protocol/Internet Protocol IP_address is unique for each PC and gateway is the server thourhg which u got internet connected and DNS is depends on the server thorugh which u r connecting internet. Just write all on a paper or in ur diary and again enter the same whenever u reinstall ur PC. Now main point where r u putting all there at home or in office...exactly in office or LAn this is used mostly..... if u r in office then technical division will take care of such things...anyways if u want more detail can ask me any time.....

Gateway IP is your gateway IP number (usualy this is router IP number who will connected out to internet). About DNS you have to ask it to your ISP, they should have information for that DNS IP number.

Primary DNS Server and gateway IP are obtained from your internet service provider. You can ask him for these numbers. As far as IP address is concerned, it depends on if your PC is connected on a LAN (as in an office) or if it used to connect to the Internet (as usually at Home). For a home PC, IP address is not reqd as the same is dynamically alloted by The Internet Server you are connected. In a LAN environment . your System Administrator will help you.

If you happen to lose any ip information and you dont really dont have an idea whrer to look or ask. First thing i could really suggest to you is to call your Internet Service Provider (ISP) if your ip concerns is pertaining to Internet Connectivity If you happen to have a router and your connection is either cable ro DSL no need to worry on this because most settings for the ip is Automatic. Meaning it would be given automatically by teh DHCP Server w/c is the router.
