i guess abhinav u forget that the world cup is all about limited over games. indias recent performance in the shorter version of the game is beyond expectations. in south africa we lost all the 4 matches. thanks to the rain gods that the first match was not played or the results would have been much more humilating. we lost in icc tournament. in the qualalampur matches. how can one expect to wint a big tournament like the world cup with the current form that the indian team is having. sorry my friend is quite clear with this for its hard for them to pass down to the knockout stage. they need vigorous improovement in the middle order batting, innovative field placings and good length and line bowling in the power plays and in the slog overs. then we can atlesat think of a chance.

as for the indian team it is so predictable yet so unpredictable at times...so u cant b absolutely sure...however if the rusty willow of the MASTER BLASTER fires....MILKY STRENGTH of DHONI shows....THE WALLL gets stronger....and JUMBO gets a chance then nthn seems impossible...no team invincible...n no cup too far...so lets hope n pray that all goes wel...

if the team try to correct its mistakes done in the SA series and if the Top players comes to good form and if they play the upcoming series against Srilanka and West indies with much motivation and team spirit and if Ganguly has been included...etc then there is a chance for the team to enter atleast the semifinals.So many if s are there.

A very dumb question.How can you expect india to win the world cup in its current form.It is not even able to win a single ODI match and you expect it to win the world cup? Impossible.

wht makes u decide that their current form will be retained in the world cup?i think that they will do better,as they did last yr.a place in super eights in guaranteed,due to the weaker teams in the group and once they gt there,if they play to potential..semi finals is always on the cards..whtsay??
