Spending time by yourself does not mean you're a loser. But it seems like people are afraid to be by themselves. Try it for at least a few hours one weekend. Ditch the friends and don't answer your cell phone. Develop some hobbies, go to a new store, anything. Remember, if you're bored you're boring.

no, definitely not! i love to spend time all alone for myself. it all depends on what mood i am in at that particular moment. i enjoy my own company and love the peace of mind i get by not being with anyone. i can then read my own thoughts. and then i can think clearly
i also write poetry, and so i need the solitude to get the impulse to write. i like the company of others as well, but i prefer to be with my own self atleast for sometime each day

I love to be by myself. I'm a loner, I prefer my own company most of the time. I rarely find myself bored or anything like that. I can occupy my time alone very well, and I don't find myself wanting company or regretting spending time by myself. I see no reason to force myself to be around other people when I just plain don't like it. I don't have social anxiety or anything like that, I just don't like people very much.

I have stages where I need to be around people. And the next day I wake up and don't want to see another human being. But I agree with you about the waste of spending time with certain people. People should lose the school yard mentality if they hang with people just because they are "cool."

Whoever thinks someone who lives by himself is a loser is a loser himself.
