They're just what's popular right now. Movies go through phases in genre. A few years ago everything was a horror movie, before that it was bizarre science fiction... right now is the time of the Superhero movie. And with the sucess of the big ones, I can understand why. X-men and Spiderman drew huge crowds and grossed a lot of money. So movie makers are following suit and producing what's proven to bring people to the theater.
It's the theatrical equivalent of supply and demand.

Yeah I can see that. Spiderman did real well. I haven't seen the Superman 3 yet and Ghost Rider looked ok. I saw the previews on AOL Video this morning. I just wonder how long this is going to last. Thanks for your response. :-)

They have been making a lot of movies from Marvel Comics and I agree that they are running out of movie ideas. They are pulling everything they can think of to make more movies. They have made a movie about almost every superhero possible except for Wonder Woman. I am sure they are thinking of something for that as well.
