The ordering season is almost upon us! Oh, but the Thin Mints just melt in your mouth. My second choice is the S'mores. Nice and crunchy! All the Girl Scouts in my area know who to call to get huge orders - we love to freeze them for later in the year. BTW I won the most sold in my state on the 25th anniversary of the GS!!!

I do not mean to be rude, I would never try to imbarrase anyone or hurtanyone either. The girl Scouts were founded in 1912,The 25 th anniversary was in 1937, You have to be at least 5 yrs old to join and sell, so the LATEST year you could have been born is 1932, That would make you about.. at least, 74 your profile says 53. most 5 year olds do not sell very many cookies,The Cadette and Seniors usually get that honor. To be a Cadette you should be 12-13,THAT would mean you would be...81-ish. Please correct any incorrect statements I have made. Many councils celebrate their own anniverseries which could be any year, Is it possible it was your councils 25th? I do not think you seem to be one to lie about this,I do think some thing is off because the adorable picture you have up is NOT that old or even near that old! Please do not be mad with me, Just help me make sense of it. =)god bless you!

I correct myself, it was the 50th anniversary of Girl Scouting. LOL! The 25th I was thinking of was another anniversary I celebrated with my own girl scout troop- Queen Elizabeth II's 25th silver jubilee.

Thank you for unconfusing me! =) I found a wonderful site about the history of G.S. cookies. If interested: www.girlscouts.org/programs/gs_cookies/history_cookies/ This tells the history, recipie for the first, handmade, cookies, as well as pics of the progression of the boxes. I really injoyed the site, but I am a Girl Scout fanatic. Have a wonderful day and am so glad you did not become offended by my realazition, and question.

We dont have the S'mores kind here, I LOOOOVE the Thin Mints. Now that I'm pregnant, I REALLY like them even more. I like taking them and crushing them up, then putting that over some vanilla ice cream. MMMM. I also like the peanut butter patties, and the Thanks-A-Lots. I wasnt brave enough to try the new Lemonades that they had this year, but i was really afraid the pregnancy hormones would make me not like them, i think i'll wait to try them!

My favorite is the thin mint. I will have to call my friend up and put in my order. We live in an area where we don't get called on by children selling items. I am glad of that.

I love the thin melts as well. Yum. I think everyone I ever ask this question has the same response. A close second would be the peanut butter ones. Those are pretty good too.

My favorite are thin mints as well. But I can't stop at just one so I probably won't be getting any this year because I'm trying to watch what I eat too. Aren't there some with coconut in them too? I can't remember the name of them right now. How much are they selling for these days for a box?

My favorite girlscout cookies are thin mints. When I was a girlscout I would buy so many boxes of them. Now that I have been out of the girlscouts for so many years I don't get to have then that much.

Thin Mints, which I think are the number 1 favorite of most people. Second I like Tagalongs, yum! Third would be Samoas. I buy extra every year and freeze them too. Once I found a box that had been hidden in our freezer for 4 years..guess what? They still tasted awesome.

We just got a visit from our local girl scouts today.I had not realized that it was that time of year already. We always purchase cookies to support the girls in the community but we dont like any of them. We purchase several boxes and give them to Missionaries who are serving in our area. They always appreciate them. We just purchase a variety of kinds. Usually a couple boxes from each girl who comes to our door. After we have purchased 12 boxes, we just tell them that we have already bought from someone else.

My husband called me from work the other day to ask what kind I wanted. A father was selling them for his little girl. TagaLongs are my favorite. They are the chocolate covered peanut butter cookies. They've been my favorite since I was selling them!

my favourite are meringue cookies here is a lovely recippe you Best Meringue CookiesA light and delicate cookie recipe that makes a great holiday cookie.Ingredients: • 2 egg whites at room temperature • 1/8 teaspoon salt • 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar • 3/4 cup granulated sugar • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract • 1 cup mini chocolate chips • 1 finely chopped pecans • 3 tablespoon crushed peppermint candy cane(optional) Method: Heat oven to 250 degrees F. Place egg whites in small bowl and beat at high speed until foamy. Add salt and cream of tartar, then beat until egg whites form soft peaks. Add sugar gradually while beating. When meringue is stiff, fold in vanilla, mini chips, chopped pecans, and crushed candy. Drop in small teaspoonfuls on lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake for 40 minutes. Remove from sheets to cool. Notes: Sometimes I make 2 batches (one peppermint, one not) and tint the peppermint batch pink. Number of servings: 4-5 dozen
