I hear so many students wanting to quit university. Here's my opinion about it

I went to college for 2 and a half years. Then I felt like you did. Plus I had some personal issues. I ended up quitting. Not everyone is college material. I ran my own company doing office admin for 15 years with one partner and three employees. We grossed half a million in our peak. When the business broke up I got about a year's salary out of it. I don't think that's so shabby. Since then, I've taught myself coding and graphics. I'm by no means an expert but my peers regard me as such since none of them have equivalent skills in the field. Besides all that, I have successfully raised my children to be intelligent and ambitious adults. There were days when I felt like I went to school for 15 years to say "Yay! Peepee in potty!" I lived through it. My motto has often been "This to shall pass..." I think we need to go through life with our motto more often being "We may never pass this way again..." Live the way you see fit and are comfortable. If you decide to take time off from school and come back then do so. Maybe you can get a job in the interim to save up a little more money toward your college fund. However, if you set a goal to come back then live up to the goal. Meeting your goals is not always easy or practical but being successful at it will be very satisfying to you.

I agree. College is not for everyone. And there are many very, very successful people who never go to college. I think what you make of yourself is often based upon how much you are willing to work on your own dreams more than how much education you have. Of course there are times when the education is an absolute must. My personal opinion is that most people tend to be forced into going to college. And many good paying jobs don't really require a degree but tend to think they do. And yes, I am a college graduate.

College is not a must have to do thing! Or it shouldn't be. We need all kinds of people in our society, we do not only need lawyers, mathematicians, Physics, People of arts and Languages or history. We need every piece of our society, since the garbage man to the president. They all are important and if one of those pieces disappear, society collapses. If we did not have electricists, who would make the electrical install in buildings and in objects? Everyone should be respected for what he does because we all depend on that people's work. Nice discussion, by the way. Hope to see more good issues from you
