is JOHN GRISHAM fascinated with SAD ENDINGS

as most of you might have read quite a few navels of JOHN GRISHAM,you must have noticied,or atleast i have,that JOHN does not give the hero of the novel everything.Lets try and make some observations.i the novel the FIRM john gave the hero enough money and even the girl but he had to live his life running away from the mobs.he will always have to watch his back.in the novel THE RAINMAKER the poor guy won the biggest case of his lifetime and ended but with not even a penny but he did get the girl.so i feel that JOHN doesnt give the hero the perfect life.he leaves him with wanting something or the other thing.WHAT DO YOU THINK?
