The doctor has told me to start trying to lose weight since I want another child. I go back in 4 weeks and he only asked that I lose 8 pounds. What are some good low fat snacks?

Looking at the time you started this discussion, I'm not sure if you still need this information, but in case you still do, I know of a few. I need to lose a few pounds myself & started researching negative calorie foods. These are foods that may have some calories, but the body burns more calories than they contain, when it digests them. If you're looking for a sweet snack, you could try apples, berries, mango, oranges, papaya or pineapple. There are lots of vegetables on the list too if you're looking for more than just snack ideas. I've found many of the vegetables can be combined to make great salads, just don't go overboard with the dressing. lol

Air-popped popcorn, carrot/celery sticks with low fat dips, fruit, fruit smoothies with low fat milk (they'll really fill you up), lessen your meat intake-if you do eat meat, make sure it's not deep fried, make sure you trim the fat off and only have a very small portion and load your plate with vegetables. Drink plenty of water to keep you full.
