What's up with Goku?

I don't know much about this cartoon, but I do know this...everytime I walk by the TV I hear a womans voice but a male cartoon is moving his lips. Why is a woman reading for a male role. My husband & son love this show. Personally, I see it and makes me dizzy & nauseated. But I really need to know is Goku a woman.
