How Not To Lose Points!

The best way is to not reply to discussions that require a yes no response. You can bet your bottom dollar that these will be deleted by admin and then you will lose your point. In fact if any discussion looks questionable I suggest you steer clear from them and concentrate on the ones that provide good content. In this way not only will you be helping the quality of mylot but your reputation as well.

Thanks for your info. But sometimes there are discussions that are answerable by yes or no that really make good responses. I guess the best way to not lost points is to know If discussions are of substance. I guess admin deleted discussions that has no response and no substance at all.

That is true but I tend to avoid them as it doesn't stir the grey matter enough for my liking. The brain is after all a muscle and needs exercise to keep in good shape.

You have a good point there son. It is the content not the quantity that really counts.

Yes in deed quality and not quantity. Its sort of like saying it's not the size that counts but how you use it. Or maybe even not so much the gift as the love that goes with it. Also bigger is not always better, and this relates to posts as well as answers, sorry if I dribbled a bit there ;o)

That's a good idea. Also I find some people who seem to answer almost every discussion, "I don't know the answer to that" or "I've never heard of that." In fact I just started a discussion about this, because it seems like exactly the type of answer that is provided simply to accumulate points. Mylot will not pay a person for posting an answer like that, I don't think, and I don't know if the person who started the discussion will get money for it either. If a person doesn't know an answer, why would they just type "I don't know"?! It's a complete waste, in my opinion.

It's an obvious ploy to try and score some points. I like you agree it is a complete waste of time. Hopefully these sort of people will simply die out.

You should also not to post one word answers.. And usually I don't reply to a discussion with stupid questions or discussion with one sentence.. Also you shouldnt post and reply to offensive discussions.
