Mylot policies

I hear a lot of people telling me not to post on discussions that are considered spammers. What I don't understand is how I'm supposed to know what's spam and what's not? And what really bothers me is that if I take the time out of mylot life and post on it, thinking I'm gaining rather than losing, mylot doesn't only penalize that person for their lack of discussion, but also penalizes me as well. How come we are punished for doing what mylot asks of us? How are we to know what's a normal discussion and what's not? Do you think that's a fair policy or not?

I would say that your best bet would be to read the myLot discussion guidelines. Once you read them enough and use the site enough, you should be able to point out the topics that should be reported and not responded to quite easily.

Yes I think it's a bit unfair that if a discussion that you posted in gets deleted, then your earnings and you rating goes down! How does that work? You still took the time to respond to that discussion - it isn't really your fault if the discussion is later deleted! I think you should keep your rating and you earning even if the discussion is deleted....
