do you guys believe in this and do you actually practice it? do you practice complete honesty with your partner or do you think that keeping other hurtful stuff from them would make the relationship better? say you went out on a date with another person ONE TIME. would you still tell?

Ooo ... tough one. If she didn't have a clue and everything was just fine the way it was ... I'd never say a word. If she was asking, or curious, or maybe there was a possibilitiy that she would find out - I might come clean. Nah ... who am I trying to kid, myself? I'd deny it until the bitter end. Been there, done that. Prolly do it again. ...but I'm crazy like that. lol If it's not an issue - I wouldn't ever bring it up. Also, avoid the temptation to use it as a weapon in an argument. Allot of cards fall on the table during arguments that should have remained 'unplayed'.
