earthquake affected the internet and global communication

last dec 26, 2006, taiwan felt the 7.1 magnitude earthquake. in that case the underwater cable used for telecommunications have been destroyed affecting asian countries telecommunications. internet and phone communications around the world was interrupted. browsing the net makes to slow and calls are always network busy. much affected was business invloving the web. what should companies do in order not to happen these again? until now, they are still repairing the damage done the the earthquake.

The earthquake really affected the communication lines for quite some time. Many businesses and companies were affected by this, Call centers were also very much affected as most of these have clients abroad. I guess, for now most are back in business better than last december which totally slowed down the internet connection.

You are right, it was also happened in my country. We were unable to open international site for almost 1 week. But right now, everything has back to normal.
