my friend lost her mother, what should i do to help her lessen the pain?.

see my mother's friend died of lymphoma last jan 5. she has 3 siblings.. her elder brother is autistic, her younger sister is sort of like her elder brother.. but not that worst. anyway.. she has been given a very big responsibility and along with that she has to fight the pangs of depression because she loved her mom so much. i do not know what to say to hurt because im not sure if she wants to talk about it or what.. what should i do to help lessen the pain and help her get through this?. i just dont know because i havent experienced death in the family yet..
