Which is the best hotel to stay in the world?

Which hotel chain or individual hotel is the best to stay. Is it the Ritz, Hilton or any of the bigger chains or a small individual hotel which has the prowess to retain its individuality.

for me it is the burj al arab in dunai i never had the chance of going to the beautiful country or the beautiful hotel but have seen it on tv and i must say i am quiet impressed but one needs to have one of the biggest pockets in the world to go there

If I ever watch it from TV, I think a hotel from Thailand on Bangkok. But I forget is name. It states that that is the best hotel in the world. I am not talking about franchising on here. I forget its name
