I'm not sure if I'm considered an NRI in the usual sense of the word. I'm Indian but was born in London and have lived here pretty much all of my lfe (bar 2 years in India between the ages of 8 and 10). My parents were born in India and dad came here in the 50s and mum came in the 60s when she married dad. So tell me do you consider me to be an NRI? I have a British passport but I consider myself a British Indian. It's the box I have to tick when I fill out official forms anyway LOL!

Hmmm if your root is in India then you can be called NRI. I mean if your parents or grand parents are from India.

well im an NRI. Living in Oman at the moment. actually born and brought up here. we used to go to bombay every year for vacation for about a month. I did go there for three years for college and those were the best years of my life. "be it ever so humble theres no place like home"
