Paintball is sweeping across the nation. YOu use a gun powered by gas and shoot gelatin balls filled with paint. I personnaly play it all the time with a little team i created. But, it does hurt substantially when you get hit. WIthout goggles, if you were hit in the eye, you would be blinded. What do you think about your loved ones and children playing this game? I personnally don't care that it is dangerous for myself, but if it was my father that was going to play the game, i would be a little nervous because he is so important to be. What is everyone's opinion on this growing new sport?

i have been playing for 12 years, there is no better sport on the planet. as for safty, there was a study on the safty of all sports done a few years ago, and it was found that paintball is one of the safest sports out there. now that was only a study of people that are playing at offical sports areas, on pick up games of back yard fun. I can't remember the figures but paintball was safer than Golf, bowling, tenis and volleyball, plus about 100 other sports. it was all rated on serious injuries per 100 players.

I would say it come under the category of extreme sports, secondly your father is really brave to take risk of playing that game, i like watching that game everyday, since u need to have a skill of aiming against ur enemies at the right point of time.

I have never played it myself. It does look like fun. I probably wouldn't care if my dad went and played it because he likes to do crazy stuff like that. LOL I would like to go play it sometime if I ever get the chance.
