In India, good books are really expensive if you buy the originals.. and those of us who love reading and have a limited budget have no choice but to opt for the pirated ones.. im glad we get these pirated books or there would have been so many books i wouldnt have read at all.. the original ones are like way too expensive.. the pirated books are 10 times cheaper, the quality is also good, and its a great way for good books to reach the common man.. whats your opinion on this?? do u support piracy or wud u rather spend more money on the original??

I am against it. See I would not like to have one of my books (If I ever write one) pirated. I create websites, design software, mainly scripts in php. And in the same manner I don't like them to be pirated, I think I understand how a writer would feel and so I am against it.

I would like to opt for pirated books. I completely agree with u in this case that pirated books are easily available and very cheap to be affordable. Pirated books are published in good qualities and there is no problem in reading them. But as a good citizen i m really against the piracy. I have one thing to say to the piracy publishers that they shud take permission from the original publisher before making the copies of the originals so that there should be no obstacles in the pirated books legally.

I am against piracy. You can always burrow books from a library. Piracy is theft and does lessen the income for genuine writers, whose income depends on the amount of books they do sell.

I agree..it depends on where u r. If u r in India it seems fair as the price of the books is so high but if u r in the US i wouldnt

I am from India and I always buy pirated books. Its not only cheaper by the binding of pirated books is far better than that of legal books. I purchased a few non pirated books and they started falling apart in pieces after just one reading, while on the other hand i have a pirated copy of Lord of the Rings which is still in mint condition after 5 years and being read a dozen times
