I am a huge metallica fan, but there more recent stuff hasnt really hit home for me, still some good stuff, but not what I liek to hear. does anyone else agree? Do you think that they are going to redeem there short comings with there new album?

i am not a fan of their music. but sometimes i listen to their softer tuned songs.
i observed they now have tattoos. what reason?

they've had tattoos for years! lots of times bands get tattoos to commemorate a certain years tour. I think Dimebag got a tattoo on every tour.

i'm a metallica big fan too. st.anger maybe not like black or justice, but it's still good album. and i like almost every song on it. my fav song is unnamed feeling. it full of emotion. and i longing for their next album. hopr it will better from st.anger or even from justice..Hell yeahhh

I stopped listening to them after the black albumn. To me they just lost it right then and there. i missed those intricate songs they played on their earlier stuff. As soon as Hetfield started trying to actually sing, it was all downhill from there.

The only thing that gives me one ounce worth of hope is that they played master of puppets (The entire album) all summer long and are producing with rick rubin (slayer).

Yeah, ever since St. Anger I stopped listening. It isn't the same.
