Oh My God I've turned into my mom! While yelling at my 14 year old son, about being being irresponsiable, I heard my mothers voice in my head saying the same thing to me. My mind reverted back to standing in moms kitchen, head hung low, fighting tears, while mom walked around yelling, flinging her arms, and shaking her head at me for doing something 'only a irresponsiable child would do' come flinging like a sword out at me. I stopped, just stopped, and looked at my baby. I grabbed him, hunged him, kissed him, and told him that we will work it out and that I should not have acted the way I did. Then we talked and sorted things out. Then I heard mom again, as I told my babe that I loved him and would always no matter what. Surprise of surprise I do remember saying that I would never say to my children the same things mom said to me. I have and often do. Do you ever catch yourself repeating your mom?
