Paris - do you agree that it's one of the most romantic places on Earth?

I would have to say that Rome has Paris licked for magic and atmosphere in my opinion, not saying that I didn't love Paris just I found that it is like a lot of large European cities whereas Rome is just such a unique place. As to romanticness, I cannot say, but I think anywhere can be romantic with the right person

The atmosphere of Paris (much like Brussels) is very romantic with people in cafe's and the French language is definately the most romantic sounding language in the world. For each person, romance is defined differently and therefore the mountains may be romantic to some while the sunset off the coast of a carribean island may be romantic for another. It is difficult to generalize and say one place is the most romantic on earth.

By my first impression, it is somewhat magical, easy, artistic. Don't know about romance - that is not what I am concentrating on when I am in another city, unless it's my honeymoon :-)

I disagree. I think it's dirty and the people are rude. There doesn't seem to be anything interesting there, except the Eiffel Tower which I admit is amazing.
