My son has asthma. That's why were trying to feed him rice and healthy food so he would gain some weight and stamina. His drinking pediasure right now to help him out. Pediasure is a food supplement. I hope it works out

try to sit him beside you when you take your meals and feed him with the spoon your also using. i tried that with my daughter because she doesnt like eating rice but now i make it a point that she joins us at the dining table. she is now a little heavy and everyone calls her fat!

Thank you for the suggestion. But we already tried that also. When we try to feed him rice, his initial reaction would be to cry and shout "ayaw ko"

For the first ten years of my sons life he would hardly eat anything and it really worried me. He was very skinny. I took him to the doctors a couple of times for advice and they said that, as long as he has enough energy there is nothing to worry about. As soon as my son hit puberty, his appetite increased dramatically and my food bill each week has virtually doubled! He is now normal height and weight and perfectly healthy so I think that perhaps the doctors were right. Children probably know better than adults what their bodies need as there satiety mechanism has not been confused by sweeteners and other additives. Take your son to the doctor just to check as each case is individual but try not to worry, it is probably fine.

My son is a picky eater. His thin and underweight for his age. But the doctor also told me that he is energetic, it's just ok.
