I am trying to talk my husband into being a foster parent but he doesn't like the idea. He won't even give me a really good reason not to do it. For those of you who would NOT want to be a foster parent, what are your reasons?

My husband has also said no. He says he can not handle being a father to a child, then risk having to return them to a situation he would know would not be in their best interest. He is somewhat protective of our own children, as most parents are, and doesn't feel he would be able to handle it. Please be careful about trying to force your husband into it. The children will be able to tell whether he really wants them there or not.

It is quite simple for me, I have given thought to being a foster parent in the past (when I only had 1 child), my biggest reason is the fact that I would fall in Love with all of the children and wouldn't be able to give them up, I would want to adopt them all, my second reason is because I have too many of my own children, lol, I have 2 with another on the way, and may have a (step)child on the way, not that I would consider him/her my stepchild, I would love it the same as my own, any how, a little off subject, I would end up with 50 kids if I were to be a foster parent.
