I was thinking, and this is just a question that I would just like to ask everyone. If ever a world war would occur (hope not), who of the superpowered nations do you think has the upper hand? A nation that you think will have a win/win situation.. May it be in means of manpower or arsenals.

Okay, just assuming that there would be a WWIII (but praying there wouldn't be), everyone should watch out for CHINA. They're pretty good technology wise but their manpower is what makes them a power to reckon with. So if there wouldn't be no nukes involved, I'd bet on China.

Everyone forgets China, a rising superpower from the east that is just watching what the world has been up to. Thanks for the post!;)

I think if there will be a world war there will be no winner is it will be very destructive with nuclear weapons in many hands nowadays, most probably some country that didn't join the war and was less effected by the destruction will emerge as new world power (maybe Australia or Brazil?) but again there will not be much of the world left to dominate :( let's hope there will be no more wars. peace to all :)

My thoughts are the same as yours my friend.. I was only asking, if ever, who has the advantage in terms of military tactics, firepower, manpower and technology. Anyways, I thank you for your response, and PEACE to us all!

This may sound far fetched, but I think if WWIII broke out it would cause enough disruption in the universe, and the Aliens would come and wipe out all electrical technology, and man would have to start all over again electrical wise, because the Aliens would destroy, and confiscate anything that would be a destructive weapon to the universe, maybe even destroy all the negative people involved, and allow the good people to take over, clean up and fix the world... I think that is where the upper hand would be, either that or the world would shake all her fleas off. - DNatureofDTrain

i think in war there is no winner. we are all losers in war. as to who will get the upperhand, its hard to tell. there are many great countries out there with great military powers. often times there strength in terms of arsenal, weaponry is not so well revealed. we just get shocked that a country (we never thought is capable of having)is hiding nuclear weapons.
