potbellied pigs as citizens

I've seen pigs as freak-show attractions, as pets, as someone's main course for dinner, and even as comic-strip characters (see zekeandjiji.com)! Given that they're just as intelligent as young children, why can't some of them function as humans? With the proper training - whether it be speech, job skills, or social skills - these creatures could go far, and perhaps co-own an online business (such as bkandzeke.com).
