Do you read the whole discussion before answering to a topic?

Do you people read the whole thread of discussion before giving your own opinion? I do, most of the times, but frankly, not always. If you do read, does it mean that you want to know what others think or you read it just for the knowledge? Does that change your opinion in any way??

Yes, i do. that is the reason why i like answering to new discussions. And that is why i can have the time to read all postings before i myself post. I read the postings to know what others think and also to gain knowledge (depending on the discussion topics).

Yes, the topic of discussion is very important. If I find it interesting, then i read the other posts to gain knowledge. But sometimes i just read one or two pages and then post my views on it.

I never compare my answer with the others. I usually write what think about the topic and sometime I read the others reply also because to know the others feeling if it good so there is no harm in adopting it in life.

That is true in my case also. One should never compare opinions with others. But one should always keep the mind open to any new knowledge. That is what myLot is all about.

I always read the discussion point entirely. Hey pranay, being an Indian I cant suggests anythin wrong or useless. And even i ll suggest u to read a question especially if it is one's problem. Sometimes a question is nt needed to read fully bcoz we come to kn it after readin first 2 lines eg:"How to impress a gal?" Now, der is no need to read it fully just give ur ideas behind it.

You got it wrong buddy! I do always read the whole topic. I was asking about the various replies that others have posted before your own post. Do you go through all of them thoroughly?

I usually read it before I respond if its 2 or 3 pages long or shorter. I usually don't read the 8+ page ones before I respond simply due to time.

I have a similar view point on this. Even i do not read the 8+ ones. They are just too much time consuming.
